Malta: LM1.00 daily payable locally.
Gozo: LM1.50 daily payable locally.
Sicily: Approximately LIT2500 plus tax per day payable locally.
Roof Racks and Child Seats payable locally at LM1.00 daily in
Malta and LM1.50 daily in Gozo. For Sicily, children over 9
months and under 4 years must travel in a secured child seat
in the rear. The charge is approximately LIT 50,000 plus tax
per rental and payable locally. Roof racks are not available
in Sicily.
A maximum liability of LM50.00 in Malta if your vehicle is damaged
in an accident. |
| YOU
WILL NEED: |
A current UK or other national driving licence
To be over 21 years old in Malta and Gozo and, in Gozo, you
will need proof of two years' driving experience in order to
hire a vehicle. For Sicily the minimum age at which a Group
SIB car may be rented is 21 years. For all other groups the
minimum age is 25 years. Drivers over 70 years old wishing to
hire a car in Gozo or Sicily must provide a doctor's confirmation
of fitness to drive. |
| DRIVING/COLLECTION: |
Malta:
Vehicles are normally delivered to your accommodation but collection
may be made from the airport by prior arrangement. You may be
driven to the nearest office to complete the brief formalities.
Please note that on taking delivery of your vehicle in Malta
you will be asked to provide a credit card imprint or cash deposit
of LM50. This is required by rental operators to (a) safeguard
the operator against non-payment of any parking/towing fines
incurred by renters
Sicily:
Palermo and Catania: Delivery can be made to each airport with
no delivery charge. Delivery to hotels can be made during working
hours for which there is a charge payable locally. Delivery
can be made outside working hours on request. Sicily car hire
prices are correct at time of producing our brochure. However,
they are liable to change and our Reservations staff will confirm
the current cost on request. A security deposit is compulsory
for car hire on arrival. This can be paid for in cash for the
sum of 1,000,000 lire or alternatively with a credit card guarantee. |
