Balearic Islands Climate

Majorca, Ibiza, and Menorca are the three Balearic Islands sitting in the Mediterranean Sea just south of mainland Spain and north of Africa. The Balearic’s boast a fantastic Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild winters undisputedly making them a year-round favourite destination for travellers far and wide.

The Islands are lucky enough to enjoy and average of 300 days of sunshine a year with June to September being the prime time to enjoy typical temperatures of 27 ˚C - 30 ˚C and often reaching the high 30’s during the height of the season.

Sun bathers will be pleased to hear the Embat winds, created by heat rising from the islands pulling in cooler air from the sea will produce a cooling breeze to help you feel more comfortable.
During the hottest periods of the year it is advisable to follow the lead of the locals by taking a siesta (afternoon nap) during the hottest part of the day.
